Nurses

Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears.

Healthcare Assistants

Our Health Care Assistants see patients for blood testing, blood pressure checks, annual diabetic foot checks and NHS health checks etc.

Administration

The administration staff deal with important tasks such as issuing repeat and acute prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with patients records and scanning all correspondence from outside agencies and hospitals. They also carry out searches and practice audits.

Reception

Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses.

Secretaries

There is a dedicated medical secretary to ensure all reports and doctors' correspondence are dealt with promptly.

Pharmacists

The Practice Pharmacy Technician can help you with any medication queries you may have, she can also update and review any of your medications.

District Nurses

We have District Nurses attached to our Practice who visit the housebound for their nursing needs.

Health Visitor

A health visitor is attached to our Practice and is available for advice on a wide range of health problems, especially in pre-school children.

Counsellors

We have one Counsellor attached to the Practice who runs regular Clinics.
